Professor Abdulwahab Olanrewaju ISSA holds DLS, BLS, MLS (ABU, Zaria), Ph.D. (Ibadan), and PGDE (UDUS) and began his teaching career in 1992 in the Department of Library and Information Science, ABU, Zaria. He left in 1999 as Assistant Lecturer and joined Federal Polytechnic, Offa, in 2000 as Lecturer I, and rose to become Chief Lecturer in 2009. There, he served as HoD (2000-2004) and Director of the Centre for Continuing Education (2004-2009).

He joined the University of Ilorin in 2010, as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Science, where he served as Ag. HoD (2011-2016), Sub-Dean, Postgraduate School (2011-2018) and University Librarian (2017-2022). Library and Information Studies is his research interest, with over 80 publications in wide-ranging outlets, and he has been Editor-in-Chief of the Middlebelt Journal of Library and Information Science, since 2012. He has taught and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate works over the years and was appointed Professor in 2017.
