Dr. Aderinola Ololade Dunmade is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences, University of Ilorin, Nigeria.

Until recently, she served as a Deputy Director at the Computer Services and Information Technology (COMSIT) Directorate of the same institution, where she was the Head of the Software and Applications Development Unit. She has played a pivotal role in advancing digital infrastructure and academic computing services.

Dr. Dunmade holds a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science (Information Science Option) from Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, Nigeria. Her doctoral research focused on Perception, Awareness and Attitude of Female Postgraduate Students towards Cyberethical Behaviour in North Central Nigerian Universities, reflecting her commitment to ethical digital engagement and youth empowerment.

Dr. Dunmade has published extensively in local, national, and international journals, contributing discourse in information behaviour, information-seeking behaviour, cyberethics, social informatics, social media research, digital generations research, and children and youth services in librarianship.

She is a recipient of the Nigerian Computer Society’s Certificate of Outstanding Performance (2009) for her role in the inaugural Olatunji Odegbami National IT Competition.

She is actively engaged in professional networks, including:

– Nigerian Library Association (NLA)  

– Nigeria Computer Society (NCS)  

– International Association of Social Science Information Service & Technology (IASSIST)  

– Computer Professionals Registration Council of Nigeria (CPN)

A recent collaborative research on youth migration trends (“JAPA”) earned a TETFund National Research Grant in 2023, valued at NGN 23.75 million.

Dr. Dunmade is passionate about mentoring young scholars, promoting ethical digital citizenship, and strengthening the role of libraries in shaping informed societies. Her interdisciplinary background and leadership in both academia and ICT make her a vital contributor to the future of librarianship in Nigeria and beyond.
