Biography

Adeyinka TELLAis a Full Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. He has 13 years of professional and academic experience comprised of university teaching, research, and community services. He is a Research Fellow in the Department of Information Science and a DISTINGUISHED Professor at the University of South Africa. Tella is a C2 Rated Researcher by the South African National Research Foundation, NRF. Tella was a Commonwealth scholar who finished his Ph.D. at the University of Botswana in Sept 2009. He is a Three times winner of the Dr. TM Salishu Most Published Librarian Award by the Nigerian Library Association (2015, 2017, and 2018), a 2007 winner of the CODESRIA small grant for thesis writing for the African PhD students’ category; and a 2023 EMERAL LITERATI Award for the Most Outstanding Paper. He has authored so many articles in high-impact Web of Science/Scopus-rated journals. He was the Sub-Dean, of the Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences, University of Ilorin from December 2012 to August 31st, 2015. He is presently the Head of Department, in the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Ilorin, Nigeria.
